Olivo Barbieri inspired me to mimic his photography using Photoshop. He uses a tilt-shift lens to minimize the plane of focus of his aerial photos. The diminished depth of field gives the effect that the photographs are of models, rather than the real thing.

I had taken these photographs when my son and I took a ride with the Channel 19 helicopter a few years ago. The quality wasn't very good, but by manipulating them in Adobe Photoshop CS2, I think they're good enough to show off now.

Honor Role CertificateMy son Joe made the Honor Role for the secord quarter in a row! I'm very proud of him. And despite having hockey practice on two school nights a week, not getting to sleep until 11pm those nights, and still getting up at 6:15 the next morning, he still manages to work hard at school.

JESUS, You said, "Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you." Through the intercession of Mary, Your Holy Mother, I knock, I seek, I ask that my prayer be granted.

JESUS, You said, "All that you ask of the Father in My name, He will grant you." Through the intercession of Mary, Your holy Mother, I humbly and urgently ask Your Father in Your name that my prayer be granted.

JESUS, You said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Word shall not pass." Through the intercession of Mary, Your Holy Mother, I feel confident that my prayer will be granted.

May the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus be praised, adored and glorified throughout the whole world now and forever.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, pray for me. St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, pray for me. St. Jude, Patron of Hopeless Cases, pray for me and grant this favor I ask.

Yes, I am a conservative. Yes, I mostly vote for Republicans. But I have voted for many a Democrat, and I'm sure I will again. If my choices for Governor of Ohio in 2006 are Republican Betty Montgomery and Democrat Ted Strickland, the Democrat gets my vote. Betty just doesn't get it.

But I digress. The point of this ramble isn't about Ohio politics, but national politics. I am so sick and tired of turn-coat Democratic LIARS who are now claiming that President Bush lied about why we invaded Iraq. When the President asked for the authority to go to war, he presented the Congress with the intelligence he was given. They all saw the same stuff. Now, these spineless worms are saying they didn't. Well, in the case of John Kerry, king of the flip-flops, he says he did, then he says he didn't. All in the same sentence!

Ass-wipes like Howard Dean (chairman of the Democratic National Committee) who are now saying the war is not winnable and we should pull out immediately make ...

I got the word today from my boss that our shop is buying a bunch of copies of Zend Studio Professional for the development team. I've been looking forward to this. We should be much more productive using the IDE versus (insert name of your favorite text editor here). Once we get a new development server running, we'll be even better shape because of the remote debugger.
